Bajirao Mastani

Bajirao Mastani is a 2015 Indian epic historical romance drama film produced and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who also composed the music score of the film. The film stars Ranveer Singh as Bajirao I, Priyanka Chopra as Kashibai, and Deepika Padukone as Mastani. The film also features Tanvi Azmi, Vaibbhav Tatwawdi and Milind Soman. Based on the Marathi novel Raau by Nagnath S. Inamdar, the film narrates the story of the Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao and his second wife Mastani. The film was in deveopment for 15 years, Bhansali wanted to make the film after Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. However, several times, the production was delayed due to the changing cast. Principal photography started in mid 2014, after the casting of principle roles were finalised. The film was released on 18 December 2015 to positive reviews from critics, who praised the direction, cinematography, production design, costumes, music and performances, particularly of Chopra and Singh.

The soundtrack for the film is composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with assistance by Shreyas Puranik. The lyrics are penned by Siddharth–Garima, A. M. Turaz and Prashant Ingole. The music rights are acquired by Eros Music. The film's first song, titled "Gajanana", in the voice of Sukhwinder Singh, was released on Sep 15, 2015. The song was launched at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi Stadium in Pune in the presence of film's director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The second song from the film, titled "Deewani Mastani", and sung by Shreya Ghoshal, was released on October 17, 2015, in a launch event in Delhi. The third song, titled "Pinga", voiced by Ghoshal and Vaishali Made, and picturized on Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, was scheduled to be released in a launch event on November 14, 2015, but it was cancelled due to the November 2015 Paris attacks. It was then officially released online, on ErosNow, on November 15, 2015.The fourth song from the film, titled "Malhari", sung by Vishal Dadlani, and picturized on Singh, was released on November 29, 2015, in a launch event in Bhopal. The song "Albela Sajan" was released on 11 December 2015. The song "Aayat" sung by Arijit Singh was released on 16 December 2015.
